Explore the wilderness of Britain and its wonderful creatures through Pocket Pals, a new interactive app for your mobile phone.

Get outside, find Pocket Pals, and learn about the Wildlife of Britain!

Using the GPS on your mobile device, you can walk and locate digital animals. Through the excitement of exploring and tracking animated animals, users will learn how to identify and classify British fauna. From quirky pine martens to lesser known but equally marvellous animals such as the jumping spider.

Explore real wild spaces such as forests and nature reserves to find rare Pocket Pals. If you visit in the evening you might find an array of night time species like the common pipistrelle bat or a cute hedgehog!

When you spot a Pocket Pal on the map, you can take a photo through the mini-game, but be quick! Some Pocket Pals are shy or fast and might run away! Then explore the 360 environments to see all the species you’ve photographed. Here you can also learn about them, and even view them in the real world through augmented reality!

Personalise your character by customising their appearance and style, so that they’re ready to explore and find Pocket Pals!

Remember to be alerted with notifications of new animals and environments! Soon you can view dolphins and killer whales underwater in the marine environment!
